Job Title: Panaya Test Automation Consultant (SAP Focus)

Position Summary

The Panaya Test Automation Consultant will act as a trusted technical advisor, responsible for designing, configuring, and executing automated test solutions using the Panaya Test Automation platform. The role requires deep SAP knowledge, strong automation expertise, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into repeatable, high‑quality test strategies that integrate seamlessly with modern CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

| Area | Responsibilities |

| Solution Design & Architecture | • Assess client environments and define end‑to‑end automation strategies aligned with business goals.
• Design scalable, maintainable test frameworks that leverage Panaya modules and integrate with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, etc.). |
| Implementation & Configuration | • Configure Panaya components – Impact Analysis, Test Management, Test Execution, Reporting.
• Develop and maintain automated scripts (UI, API, data‑migration) using Panaya’s scripting engine and standard languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, VBScript). |
| Test Execution & Governance | • Execute functional, regression, and performance test suites for SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Oracle EBS, and SaaS applications.
• Monitor runs, analyse results, and deliver actionable defect reports to development and business teams. |
| Client Advisory & Collaboration | • Serve as the primary technical point of contact; deliver workshops, training, and best‑practice guidance.
• Partner with functional consultants, developers, and business analysts to embed automation into delivery cycles. |
| Continuous Improvement | • Identify automation gaps, propose enhancements, and champion emerging testing technologies.
• Contribute reusable components, knowledge‑base articles, and internal best‑practice documentation. |
| Project Management Support | • Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and status reporting.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and quality standards throughout the testing lifecycle. |

## Required Qualifications

| Education | Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). |
| Professional Experience | • 5+ years of hands‑on test‑automation experience.
• 2+ years specifically with Panaya Test Automation or comparable platforms (Worksoft, Tricentis, Selenium, etc.). |
| Technical Skills | • Strong knowledge of SAP (ECC, S/4HANA) and Oracle ERP modules.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, VBScript).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
• Familiarity with API testing (REST/SOAP) and database validation (SQL). |
| Testing Expertise | • Deep understanding of the test lifecycle, design techniques, and defect management.
• Experience with impact analysis, regression test planning, and test‑data management. |
| Consulting & Communication | • Proven ability to engage senior business and technical stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to translate technical concepts into business‑focused language. |
| Certifications (preferred) | • Panaya Test Automation Certified Consultant.
• ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or Test Automation Engineer.
• SAP Certified Application Associate – Testing. |
