About the Role

Title: Venture Capital Associate

Location: SF, NYC, LA, Remote

Firm Type: Seed / Series A / Multi-Stage VC Fund

Role Type: Full-Time

As a VC Associate, you’ll work closely with partners to source deals, assess startups, and support portfolio companies. This role is both analytical and relational — ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of market research, founder interaction, and investment judgment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Identify promising founders and startups in key verticals through outbound sourcing and warm networks
  • Conduct market research, create investment theses, and draft memos for the IC
  • Participate in pitch meetings, diligence calls, and industry events
  • Work with portfolio founders on hiring, growth, and GTM initiatives
  • Maintain CRM, investment pipeline, and ongoing market intelligence tracking

Ideal Candidate:

  • 1–3 years in consulting, investment banking, product, or startup operations
  • Passion for startups, new markets, and emerging technologies
  • Strong writing and presentation skills; experience drafting IC memos is a plus
  • High initiative, curiosity, and EQ — founders trust and respect your input
